Tattoo Aftercare
How to take care of your new tattoo:
How you take care of your new tattoo is one of the most important steps to ensure it heals properly.

Keep your bandage on for 2-3 days. Fluid build up under it is completely normal and no need for concern. For easy removal, peel off in the shower under warm water.
Gently wash the tattoo with warm water and mild unscented soap. Pat dry (do not rub) the tattoo with a clean towel or paper towel.
Apply a very thin layer of provided ointment, or mild unscented lotion (such as Lubriderm, Aveeno). Apply lotion 2-3 times daily as needed if the tattoo feels dry or flaky.
Repeat washing daily, morning and night, applying lotion for at least 7 days. As the tattoo heals, it will form a scab and naturally flake away. Do not pick!

For best results/healing... make sure you DO NOT do any of these things:

Do not touch, scratch or pick at your tattoo. Pulling off scabs can result in loss of colour and/or infection could occur.
Do not soak your tattoo in the tub, sauna, jacuzzi or go swimming while your new tattoo is healing. Daily showers are fine.
Avoid exercise and profuse sweating as this can negatively impact the healing process. Wear loose clothing that will allow your tattoo to breathe while it is healing.
Do not wear anything that will rub excessively over your new tattoo or loss of ink could occur.
Stay out of the sun and refrain from using tanning beds while your tattoo is healing. Sun exposure over the years can fade your tattoo. Sunscreen is always recommended to keep your tattoo looking new.
Due to the nature of fine line tattoos, sometimes lines may not hold and fade out of the skin while healing. If you require a touch-up, please book it within six months of your tattoo, free of charge. Finger tattoos are excluded and are half the cost of the full booking fee.
Tattoo aftercare adhesive bandage: If you experience a rash, redness, irritation or itchiness around the bandage, it could be a sign you have an allergy to the adhesive. Though rare, it does happen. Remove the bandage and clean the area thoroughly. Continue aftercare as detailed above. Seek medical attention if the area worsens.
Your tattoo should be fully healed 10-14 days. If you observe these signs on your skin, please contact a doctor immediately: Swelling and redness that increases around the tattoo. A severe burning and throbbing sensation around the tattoo. Increased tenderness and increasingly painful to touch. An unusual discharge (yellow or green) with an offensive smell.
